Supporting Local Growers
We always aim for local sourcing from Australian farms as a priority. We are able to buy direct from Australian farms for the majority of our flowers and foliage and cultivate strong relationships with our growers. Some flowers are sourced from overseas farms when they aren’t available in Australia due to seasonality or variety.
Though not all our flowers can be found in Australia we aim to find the best solution for our products and customers, learning about new sustainable changes and differences we can make each day. With all the farms we buy from, we consider their own environmental and sustainability practices to ensure we are aligning with likeminded businesses throughout our value chain.
Not only do we love supporting Australian farmers but we love how this can limit our carbon footprint by sourcing locally where we can. For example, we source our gorgeous oriental lilies, beautiful gerberas and almost all of our foliage from the Central Coast in New South Wales. Just outside the heart of Melbourne, we find the brightest Chrysanthemum growers who run an all-year-round quality cut farm. We also find many of our Australian flowers and foliage coming from Victoria such as Banksia, waxflowers and thryptomene that go into some of our most popular native products. On the other side of Australia, Perth provides us with a broad local choice of Australian natives that are commonly grown in the Western Australian climate.
Up near the sunny state of Queensland, our local growers provide us with beautiful foliage like our soft Eucalyptus which has a long vase life making it very popular for those wanting to turn their arrangements into a stylish dried flower bouquet.
We love collating the latest seasonal flowers and foliage from all these farms to produce a beautifully wrapped feel good gift for you to celebrate life’s moments - big or small, or just because!
From the farm to their doorstep, each step of the way is given that fresh flower feel!
